Producer and designer extraordinaire Kanye West released a new 20 minute silent film Yeezy Season 2, for a give a second look of his Spring/Summer 2016 collection in what GQ called in September a, "luxuriously tan, beige and caramel clothes," referring to his second military inspired collection.

In terms of creative marketing and branding, the self-proclaimed genius has managed to successful tap into the difficult world of design and make his mark. Like it or not, he is generating a buzz. Does anyone remember his womenswear collection in 2011 and 2012? It must not have been favorable since GQ mentioned that both fashion shows "seemed signal end of his dreams of being a designer." It seems the fashion magazine had either changed it's tune or fashion editor!

Well guess what? Yeezy has re-erected and the line is provocative and exudes confidence with a neutrally muted color palette for both men and women.

The short is well produced and there is music without the rappers' lyrics but, it defininately helps with the story. Lights and cameras, white loft space, racks of clothes, designers designing, what described by Capitalxtra as stitching and sewing, threading, and people in offices. It's continuous cuts of endless settings, giving you a behind the scenes glance at a day in the life of the creative mastery.

Apparently, there is a method to his madness. During one scene, someone is painting pants with what looks like an airbrush. Does this mean, hand-painted? Will West jack up the price for this fete? And if means anything to someone in the creative division, perhaps they could buy the fabric pre-dyed?

But on second thought, this might devalue his work. And do we really need to see the machinery for mass production of the army fatigue shirt? I'm trying to come up with some logical reasons for the need of a 20 minute video and then I finally get it when I see 'Ye through on a hoody while walking.

Maybe he read the previous article in MStars that called his New York fashion week show a disaster. Interesting enough, Complex says, "For better or worse, Kanye West is the Steve Jobs of fashion." A warning goes out to the rapper slash designer presidential candidate, this will not silence your critics!
