'Empire' Season 2 Ep 8 Spoilers: Will Jussie Smollett, Taraji P. Henson Meet Cookie's Sister?

Season 2 of Empire continues with the music and soap opera drama on Fox. In the upcoming Episode 8, will Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) reveal to Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) about her long-lost sister (played by guest star Vivica A. Fox)?

In our previous recap, Jamal (Bryshere Y. Gray) discovered his boyfriend actually cheated on him with Chase. Wanting forgiveness for sins, Andre (Trai Byers) wanted to be baptized and invited his entire family. After witnessing his son's baptism, Luscious couldn't stand being in the House of God and left. Just as Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) was unable to stop a gang from mugging Tiana (Serayah), she wasn't around when Hakeem was suddenly kidnapped by a mysterious group.

In our recent recap, Jamal struggled to concentrate on his music after being freed from his kidnapping. Feeling like his children abandoned him, Luscious seeks out a new protege to mentor. Laz Delgado (Adam Rodriguez) convinced Cookie to pay the kidnappers's ransom and hire them as her security team. As Laz and Cookie slept together, she doesn't realize he is the criminal mastermind who orchestrated Hakeem's kidnapping and Tiana's mugging.

According to TV Line, the first look images have been released of the Kill Bill actress from her November 18 episode of Empire. Fox will show up as Cookie's sister Candace. Showrunner Ilene Chaiken teased the episode, My Bad Parts, will include "a long-lost sibling returning with shocking news"

As E! Online reports, while on Watch What Happens Live, Fox could neither confirm, nor deny that there is an Empire spinoff in the works, but there was a possibility, "Yes, absolutely. And I would jump at the opportunity."
