Lindsay Lohan's name is in the press again, but this time, it's not about her. Page Six is reporting that Lohan's stepmom, Kate Major-Lohan was kicked off of her flight and promptly arrested by the FBI on Wednesday.
Col. John Fortunato, spokesman for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, confirmed that a flight was diverted to New Orleans to remove Major-Lohan.
According to the FBI, Lohan's stepmom was arrested for interfering with the flight crew.
Major-Lohan has not been able to be reached for comment, and her famous stepdaughter is so far keeping mum on the subject.
This isn't the first time Major-Lohan has made headlines. In April of this year, TMZ reported that she had been arrested in Florida for drunkenly attacking her husband, Michael Lohan. Michael called the cops saying that his wife came home drunk and struck him.
The police arrived to find Kate visibly intoxicated, claiming that Michael provoked her into hitting him. She was taken into police custody and later released.
Of the incident, Michael told TMZ:
"At the end of the day, this is all because of what Dina is doing in court [going after back child support] ... It affects Kate too, and like anyone with a drug or alcohol problem, when they can't handle the stress, they resort to drinking."
Major-Lohan also spent several months in jail for violating probation due to a similar DUI incident in 2014.
Michael Lohan has yet to comment on the events of this week.
Major-Lohan married Lohan's troubled father in October two years ago. Lindsay Lohan was reportedly not invited to the wedding. The couple have two children together, Landon and Logan, born in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
Lindsay Lohan has been staying out of the limelight since getting off of probation for the first time in eight years in May of this year.
