The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton looked dazzling in a diamond and pearl encrusted tiara that has been described by the Daily Mail as the "Cambridge Lovers Knot." The mother of two was captured arriving at the Queen Elizabeth's annual Diplomatic Reception in a Bentley instead of a horse and carriage. Middleton had on a "pale blue lace dress" by Alexander McQueen, the same dress that she wore at the same reception in 2013. Prince William's wife is notorious for wearing repeats, just like commoners.

The bejeweled tiara is an heirloom of the late Princess Diana. In 1981, the Queen gifted it to her son, Prince Charles' bride. The "Lovers Knot" was reported to have been popular in the 19th century says US Weekly. And "was commissioned by Queen Mary in 1913." But it seems the People's Princess made the accessory famous and now for the first time since her death, the Duchess of Cambridge has graced the public's presence with the 38 oriental pearl drops hanging from knots.

Also, "the tiara consists of 19 openwork diamond frames," says the magazine reminding us that Lady Di first wore it at the State Opening of Parliment in 1981. MStars News reported on the 33-year-old's philanthropic endeavors for charities like More Smiles Appeal, she has been well received by the British press for her ability to raise more than $3 million for the children's ward at St. Mary's Hospital in London. Ever since Kensington Palace has announced that the Princess would be more vocal about platforms of interest to her, the Princess Kate has been more visible at various functions. Do you think the Duchess of Cabridge is copying Diana's style? Is she the new People's Princess?
