A mashup of "The Hobbit" and "The Office" on "Saturday Night Live"? Count us in. "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" hits theaters this Wednesday, Dec. 17, and with the final installment of Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" trilogy — based on J.R.R Tolkien's book — set to blow audience's minds, star Martin Freeman hosted "Saturday Night Live" and delivered a performance for the ages. Joined by "Boom Clap" star and musical guest Charli XCX, Freeman's performance as Bilbo Baggins in "The Office: Middle Earth" has everybody talking. On "SNL" this week, Freeman — self-described as "sort of a funny George Clooney" — hosted with confidence and took part in a range of terrific skits, including ones where he dusted off his "Fargo" accent to sell water beds and tried to marry to "Top Five" star Leslie Jones. Mila Kunis has broken her silence and spoken for the first time about her and Ashton Kutcher's new baby daughter Wyatt Isabelle, born Oct. 1. Taking to Craig Ferguson's "The Late Late Show," the "Jupiter Ascending" star also revealed the secret behind her new workout regime that has her looking so trim and terrific just two months after giving birth: "breastfeeding." First-time mom Mila explained to Craig Ferguson, "Breastfeeding's a great workout!" she laughed. "Let me tell you!" But that's not all, the "Black Swan" star explained. Even though she has an appetite, she's making sure "to eat a lot, so that kind of keeps me going through the day. [It's] not too bad." Added Mila, "I do love to eat healthy." As for baby Wyatt, she's now "2 months 9 weeks" and going great, said Mila. She's also now mobile! "She's not lethargic, she moves!" revealed Mila. Steve Carell and Jimmy Fallon singing "Sexual Healing" a cappella in a barbershop quartet? Sounds like The Ragtime Gals — Fallon's barbershop quartet singing troupe — have been trawling through our dreams again! The Golden Globe-nominated "Foxcatcher" star was a surprise guest on "The Tonight Show" last night, joining forces with the host to deliver an amazing rendition of Marvin Gaye's classic 1982 soul single. Carell appeared almost from out of nowhere to join The Ragtime Gals — who have previously tackled a cappella versions of Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" and R. Kelly's "Ignition" — as they gave their distinct twist to amazing lines like, "I can't hold it that much longer / it's getting stronger and stronger / Inside of me / And when I get this feeling / I want sexual healing." The "Get up / Get up / Let's make love tonight" lines, along with Fallon's finger-mouth pop and their extended outro are particularly hilarious highlights. A new Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee dropped today, which means that we must be towards the end of the week! In this newest episode – which follows the likes of Fred Armisen, Kevin Hart and stand up Bill Burr – comic Jerry Seinfeld introduces “Waspy Week” with guest Ali Wentworth, who was the lead in the Starz series Head Case. The two have been friends for years – Seinfeld and his wife often hang with Wentworth and her husband, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. In fact, the actress also happened to appear on an episode of Seinfeld back in the 90s, so we can say for certain that it’s been a long, long friendship. Read More »

As rumors swirl that the "Sex Tape" star and boyfriend Benji Madden of Good Charlotte are engaged, one of Hollywood's most stunning beauties and biggest names revealed last night, Dec. 10, to Seth Meyers that her new movie — also starring Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhané Wallis and Rose Byrne — delivered the one thing she's "terrified" of ... and that yelling at kids is "really fun." With "Hello!" magazine reporting that Diaz, who has been dating Madden since June, has been seen with an engagement ring on her finger, the "Bad Teacher" star took to "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and explained how much fun she had playing Miss Hannigan in the new adaptation of "Annie." "It's a meaty part," she told Meyers, "especially because you get to yell at kids, which is really fun." As Meyers pointed out, yelling at kids is something Diaz is becoming known for, what with her roles in "Bad Teacher" and now "Annie." "Yeah! The first time, I just let it rip. Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler once again, we're sure to have an enjoyable night of talents coming together to celebrate the best performances of the year. But who will go home a winner? As far as the nominees in the motion picture portion of the awards show, critically acclaimed independent films Birdman and Boyhood are pretty much running away with 2015 nominations. Yesterday morning, Wednesday, Dec. 10, The Hollywood Reporter had its annual Women in Entertainment event, which honors … you guessed it … women in the entertainment industry. During the ceremony, the late comedienne Joan Rivers was honored by not only her daughter Melissa Rivers, who finally broken silence on her mother’s sudden death, but also comedian – and new girlfriend of Masters of Sex star Michael Sheen – Sarah Silverman. And while many were thinking it possible the newly announced Fashion Police host Kathy Griffin would be speaking, we cannot say we’re disappointed in Silverman’s speech, because as usual, she did not disappoint – even when she began speaking about Rivers’ ban from The Tonight Show. Kevin Hart is allegedly a money "whore" according to Sony executives. It's the latest alleged email leak from the Sony hack, which has already released emails regarding Seth Rogen and James Franco's movie "The Interview," as well as other stars such as Adam Sandler, Angelina Jolie, Michael Fassbender and director David Fincher. Hart, it is alleged, asked for more money to provide a "social media blitzkreig" to promote one of his movies, prompting executive to call him a "whore." Read More »
