There's one more thing they may outlast, though, and that's DVDs as 'Simpsons' showrunner Al Jean said they're ending the production of seasonal DVDs. According to him, that market is dying. If the DVD really is on its last legs, it's funny to think that 'The Simpsons' are older than it. The show debuted in 1989 and the DVD was first released in 1995.
