This week's 'Homeland,' titled "13 Hours in Islamabad," takes place where we left off two weeks ago with Haqqani trying to infiltrate the US embassy through the underground tunnel. Carrie and Saul wake up after their convoy is attacked. She sees that John was killed with a piece of glass through his neck and they are all bloodied. The ambassador notifies Quinn of the breach in security in the tunnel so he asks the military to come back from the convoy. Right after, the soldiers are shot by snipers all around them. Carrie calls Aasar Khan in the ISI/Pakistani Intelligence to help her out. He is sitting next to Tasneem who tells him to only call for help in 10 minutes. In this week's "Homeland" episode recap, "There's Something Else Going On," the Tabilan prisoners are getting ready to be exchanged for Saul. Quinn signs off on them, while Carrie is with CIA Director Lockhart, telling him the prisoner swap is not Haqqani's real plan — it's just a bonus for him. Professor Boyd, the ambassador's husband, comes in John's office where John grills him about who passed off secrets to Sandy before he was killed. Boyd keeps saying it wasn't him and then leaves. John goes into Carrie's office, where they lament that they almost had him, but they'll wait a little longer to press him again. Saul is taken and cleaned up before he is transported for the prisoner exchange. The Taliban prisoners arrive at the U.S. embassy, where Carrie tells Quinn that getting Saul back's the right thing to do. Boyd's brought to a private room with Carrie, where she tries to get him to confess, even bringing proof. He still denies any of it. so she leaves him locked in there until he decides to talk. Saul is brought to a room where Haqqani greets him again in front of a camera. Haqqani talks about the indignities the Americans have done to them with Saul next to him. All of the Taliban soldiers leave including Haqqani, but one boy stays there staring at Saul. Read More »

The newest episode of Season 4 of Homeland was a tense and dramatic one, as Carrie and Quinn tried to get Saul out of Taliban custody and return him home safely. They nearly succeeded, but Pakistani intelligence was onto the plan the whole time and Haqqani's men recaptured Saul, who screamed at Carrie over the phone for betraying him and not bombing them all off the map like he asked. In this week's episode of "Homeland," "Halfway to a Donut," Carrie wakes up in a daze still in the Pakistani Intelligence officer's house. She barely can walk or even remember what happened the night before. The officer puts her back into bed, where she gets the chills even with the covers on her. CIA Director Lockhart, the ambassador and Quinn are on their way to another meeting with the Pakistani delegation to try and get Saul back. The woman at the ISI/Pakistani Intelligence whose plan it was to switch Carrie's meds is upset at her colleague for helping her instead of her getting fired. Saul is brought in front of a camera for a video, which is being shown at the delegation meeting. Saul says not to accept any of their demands and let them do what they want with him. Haqqani goes in front of the camera to ask for a prisoner exchange for Saul. Lockhart gets upset and storms out of the room. The Pakistani Intelligence says they are not involved with Haqqani or his demands. When the guards take Saul back to his cell, he fights them and secretly takes a nail on the floor to try and unlock his handcuffs. Read More »

In this week's Homeland recap of Season 4, Episode 7, titled "Redux," there's a shocking return no one sees coming. But first, the woman from ISI/Pakistani Intelligence is buying pills to use for an unknown purpose. We are then taken to the arrival of CIA Director Lockhart at the U.S. embassy in Pakistan after learning about Saul's abduction. He meets with the ambassador who then introduces him to John and reacquaints him with Quinn. He asks about what happened with Carrie in the control room, but Quinn stands up for her and says she made a hard-line decision to strike at Haqqani and Saul. The director is thankful Quinn overruled her. When asked where she is, Quinn says she's in her room upset, but the director tells him to get her. But we should've known better because this is Carrie we're talking about. She's not in her room but at the secret office working with Max and Fara to find out who the nurse is who gave Aayan the drugs to give to his uncle and what they were for. Quinn goes to Carrie's apartment to look for her, but of course she's not there. He calls her to tell her Lockhart's looking for her so she says she's on her way, but not before Max finds out who the nurse is. When Quinn leaves, we see Professor Boyd hiding in the apartment. He goes to the bathroom to switch out her bipolar meds with the ones the ISI woman gave him. Read More »

Carrie surprises him with money and a passport and says they're leaving tonight. Aayan wants to go back to his dorm to get some stuff which Carrie agrees to, but not before a goodbye kiss. In this week's 'Homeland,' titled "About a Boy," Aayan wakes up next to Carrie after she seduced him the night before. He looks under the sheets to get another peak at her naked, but she wakes up. Aayan is still freaked out about what happened, but Carrie puts his mind at ease. She gets dressed to go get breakfast for them. I still find this whole situation creepy and disturbing, but I'm hoping the writers come up with something better because I'm starting to hate Carrie again. Read More »
