Katy Perry and John Mayer's New Year's resolutions must have been to not hold grudges toward each other, as they reportedly went out on a dinner date together over the weekend. The pair dated for two years before calling it quits in February last year, but could things be starting up again between these two? Also, what does this dinner date mean for Perry's new boyfriend Diplo and Mayer's rumored fling Giada De Laurentiis? Well, according to "E! News," it doesn't look like this dinner date was anything less than friendly and casual. The two were both in attendance at a mutual friend's dinner party that took place Saturday, Jan. 3. It seems that Katy Perry did one of the dumbest things one human could imagine. She rode the New York City subway on New Years Eve. And while that may not seem like a huge deal to some, those who have experienced any part of New York on New Year’s Eve realize that the subway is basically just a trap filled with drunken New Year’s celebrators possibly emitting either odors of alcohol or actual vomit. John Mayer loves Instagram. And from the looks of his latest post, the Paradise Valley singer also loves Christmas and the Holiday Season. In truth, why shouldn’t he? It’s hella enjoyable! Anyway, in a recent post to his Instagram account, Mayer wishes everyone around the world a “Happy Holidaze.” While we can’t tell from the post, our hope is that the wish also goes as for as former girlfriends Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
