Super Bowl XLVII is going down in the record books for on of the best half-time performances, thanks to Beyonce's spectacle of a show. It is also in the record books as the longest Superbowl in history due to the 24 minute power outage at the Superdome. Just a few minutes into the third quarter, a power surge caused most of the lights in the Superdome to go out along with the air conditioning. At the the time, the Baltimore Ravens were beating the San Francisco 49ers 28 to 6. After the teams and the crowd of more than 71,000 football fans waiting around 34 minutes, the power came back on and the game resumed. Though the 49ers got very close to upsetting the Baltimore squad, the Ravens maintained their lead and became the Super Bowl champions.
