Grammy Award winning singer and MC Lauryn Hill was sentenced to three months in prison for or failing to pay taxes on an estimated $1.8 million in income she earned from 2005 to 2007. While the "Neurotic Society" rapper said that she intended to pay her taxes, in her statement to Judge Madeline Cox Arleo, Hill sited the U.S government and slavery as indirect causes of her failed payments. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj's beef was being diffused at an American Idol photo shoot thanks to a live prop in between them- Ryan Seacrest. After their big blow out fight went viral, the singer beefed up security because she heard that Minaj was sending her death threats.
