This week, everyone's favorite nerd, Simon Pegg wrote a long post on his personal blog in order to clear up rumors started from comments he made about "Nerd Culture" and the film industry. His point was that serious movies can't bring in money comparable to box office numbers of superhero flicks, or the like. Whatever his point, the actor and current co-writer of the highly anticipated Star Trek 3 also might have confirmed previous rumors of the 2016 film's title! We really don't know much about the upcoming third installment of the rebooted Star Trek movie franchise, currently referred to as Star Trek 3, but we're pretty excited that series star Simon Pegg is currently writing the film's script with screenwriter Doug Jung for director Justin Lin. Considering Pegg has been in the two previous films directed by J.J. Abrams and has a certain knowledge or and a draw in the "nerd" universe, we're most likely in good hands.
