After Jon Stewart announced his retirement from his longtime position of host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, rumors surrounding his replacement started bopping up. The show's correspondents were all factored into replacing the iconic host, but most of the seasoned stars of the show ended up taking other jobs elsewhere. The current Ferguson protests - which began as a result of the "no indictment" decision against former Officer Darren Wilson surrounding the murder of unarmed teen Michael Brown - have caused quite a bit of stir in the news these days, especially after a number of St. Louis Rams players sported the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" gesture during one of their games. In fact, when it comes to interviewing them, he “despises” it. Read More »
It would appear safe to say that Olivia Munn’s road to stardom has been a rather interesting one. The actress kicked off her career studying journalism, then moved to playing a faux reporter for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and finally a fictional journalist on HBO’s The Newsroom opposite Dumb and Dumber To’s Jeff Daniels. So, we guess you could say that journalism was always in Munn’s blood… just not enough to do it for a living, of course. Now, however, the Aaron Sorkin-led series is coming to an end, and it looks like the 34-year-old actress has much to say on the topic! Read More »
