Two years ago, Taron Egerton became an overnight star when he appeared on the big screen as Eggsy Unwin in Kingsman: The Secret Service, a film marked in part by Colin Firth's amazing portrayal of gentlemanly spy Harry Hart -- a character that dies in the movie. Now, the sequel, The Golden Circle, is being shot ... and the Oscar winner's shooting scenes!
Pedro Pascal, best known for being the guy who got his eyes gouged out during a trial by combat in Game of Thrones, is part of the all-star cast of the Kingsman sequel, and he's been sharing a few snaps from the set. Among them, one with arguably the first film's best character: Firth!

Since Firth's character died in the first time around, his presence on set has raised a few doubts, as Coming Soon reports. For starters, there's the possibility of the character having faked his death, as well as safer theories like how the actor could be shooting flashback sequences -- or maybe Harry has a twin brother who also happens to be involved in spy stuff.
In any case, the turn will be pretty interesting, as it's actually Harry's death that fuels Eggsy's ultimate decision to become a Kingsman and fight the bad guys in stylish suits.
The sequel will bring back Egerton, Firth and Mark Strong, who'll be reprising his role of Merlin. The cast is filled with some of the biggest, most talented names in Hollywood, such as Oscar winners Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry (as the head of the CIA), Julianne Moore (as the main villain) and Elton John, in his first big screen acting role in over 40 years. Other new members of the Kingsman family include Pascal and Magic Mike actor Channing Tatum.
The first Kingsman film, which also starred Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson, was a worldwide success, making its budget a few times over. After spending $81 million in production, the movie ended up bringing a box office total of $414 million internationally. It wasn't long after the film came out that a sequel was announced.
The original film feels a little like a lost James Bond movie: a rugged British man making his way into the world of worldwide espionage, all revolving around an enchanting mythology of spies, including how a true gentleman always wears a suit.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle will hit theaters on June 16, 2017.
