'Modern Family' Season 8 News: Victor Garber Joins Cast; Ariel Winter Reunites with Boyfriend

The "Modern Family" Season 8 cast will be joined by a guest star this February 2017. Veteran actor Victor Garber will play the role of Chef Dumont. Meanwhile, actress Ariel Winter uploaded a photo of her and her boyfriend, Levi Meaden in Sydney, Australia.

Next month, "Modern Family" Season 8 will air an episode featuring Chef Dumont (Victor Garber). Claire (Julie Bowen) becomes obsessed with Dumont's cooking show. According to Entertainment Weekly, Claire is a huge fan of Dumont. Because of her obsession with the celebrity chef, she's going to drag Haley (Sarah Hyland) with her to attend the chef's show.

How this will play out remains to be seen. No doubt it will be wacky and hilarious. Last episode, viewers saw Jay (Ed O'Neill), Claire, and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) bumping into DeDe (Shelley Long). Knowing that Jay and DeDe had a past, Claire and Mitch tried to keep things on the down-low. Of course, it didn't work. The conflict, though, paved the way for DeDe and Jay to own up to their mistakes as parents. Surpisingly, the show didn't destroy the moment with a misplaced joke. Meanwhile, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) go on a college tour with Luke (Nolan Gould) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez).

Ariel Winter, who stars as Alex Dunphy, has good news of her own. The 18-year-old "Modern Family" actress met up with her boyfriend, Levi Meaden to visit Australia. They had become official last November. The two had been extra close, but Winter spent a few months in Bora Bora without her boyfriend. According to the Daily Mail, the actress was especially excited to her new beau again.

The "Sofia the First" actress uploaded their picture on Instagram. Winter had broken up with her boyfriend of two years last June. She proudly declared her single status on social media after many fans claimed she was secretly dating Sterling Beaumon. After the Thanksgiving holiday, however, she was spotted kissing the 29-year-old "The 100" actor, Levi Meaden. The two seem to be very serious with each other.

"Modern Family" Season 8 will return in February with Victor Garber, but there will be no Episode 12 this week. In fact, the ABC network has not released any news about Episode 12's synopsis or air date. Fans can be assured, though, that the show will eventually be back, either next week or on February for the Chef Dumont special.
