A little less than a week after Meek Mill protégé Lil Snupe was laid to rest, a second arrest has been made in the murder of the 18-year-old rising Louisiana rapper.
In a statement from Winnfield City Police Department issued to MStars, Lieutenant Charles Curry said the following: "On July 3, Winnfield Police booked Edrick O. Stewart, age 21, of Monroe, LA, into the Winnfield City Jail, charged with Manslaughter. Bond has not been set. No further details are available."
This is the second arrest made in connection to the death of Lil Snupe. On June 25, convicted felon Tony Holden turned himself in to police after being named as a suspect just one day after Lil Snupe's death. He was charged with 1st degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's being held on a $2 million bail.
Lil Snupe, born Addarren Ross, was murdered early in the morning on Thursday, June 20. Holden allegedly shot the rising rapper twice in the torso over a $1300 video game bet.
It is unclear how Edrick O. Stewart is connected Lil Snupe's murder.
Lil Snupe was a Louisiana rapper signed to Meek Mill's Dream Chasers label. He was a large talent who had only released one mixtape, R.N.I.C. before his untimely death.
MStars will update the story when more information is available.
