The latest rumor surrounding J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII production is that the new movie could start filming in May of 2014! This, of course, is a little later than the January production date that we were told back in 2013 before the script re-write, but it's coming up quick! If only we knew who's been cast!
Earlier this week news broke that the Episode VII script had been completed. Abrams confirmed this news during a recent interview saying he and his team are "working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep,"
The Star Trek Into Darkness director added: "Full steam ahead, y'know."
Another rare piece of information came from this interview, too. It turns out Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons, who was rumored to have auditioned for a role, was confirmed as one of the many actors Abrams had met with.
"He is one of the actors that we've talked to, yeah," Abrams said of Plemons.
The director also spoke about the other rumored actors out there that he's heard rumors about.
"But, you know, it's not often that I read about actors that I'm going to be meeting," he explained. "I get to read articles about actors who are going to come in. And so I get to see someone and say, 'Oh, I read that I was going to see you. It's very nice to see you.' It's usually agents talking to people about what's happening. It's just a lot of noise."
