Fox has reportedly found its cast for the upcoming Marvel franchise reboot Fantastic Four and it probably won't surprise you who made the cut. Stars Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller and Kate Mara have all been rumored for this film, and it looks like those rumors were true! Plus, Jamie Bell has rounded out the superhero group as a surprising choice for Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing.
Michael B. Jordan has been attached to this project for almost a year now, with rumors starting earlier in 2013 that caused a racial outburst from fans. Jordan has signed on to play Johnny Storm, also known as The Human Torch, who was a blonde-haired, white man in the comic series. This is clearly an interesting casting choice, but we've pretty much known he'd get the role for quite some time so we're not too surprised.
Kate Mara is set to play Johnny Storm's sister, Sue (also known as the Invisible Woman). Clearly the racial differences will get some sort of explanation in the film. Mara won out in a series of screentests that took place over the last couple of months.
Miles Teller will take on the role of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), though scheduling problems might force him to forgo the role.
Perhaps the most interesting casting choice is that of Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing. If you're familiar with the character, The Thing is a hulking rock mass in the form of a man.
