Australia isn't exactly a World Cup franchise, but the down under underdogs are ready to prove their worth and talent against the impressive Chile team today. Though Chile is much better than Australia on paper, this is football we're talking about - anything could happen!
"We don't care who we're up against," Australia's attacking midfielder Dario Vidosic said. "There can be 11 Ronaldos or Messis out there. We want to make everybody proud back home. We've worked very hard to get to this stage. We've got three guaranteed games and we're just going to give it everything that we can to get out of the group stage."
In other words, Australia really has nothing to lose in this match up whereas Chile would look pretty dumb if a loss is conceded. That's a very dangerous little addition to this formula.
With the odds against Australia, they are truly the biggest underdogs in the World Cup's first few days, so expect a lot of excitement today!
