While appearing at the 2014 Dynamite Entertainment Comic-Con panel this weekend, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino was asked to confirm or deny the recent rumors that his previously cancelled movie project, a script entitled The Hateful Eight, was in fact revived and being produced. Though his answer was brief, Tarantino set the record straight on the recent controversy over the script leaked earlier this year, thus confirming the film's existence.

"Yes, we are going to be doing The Hateful Eight," he said in response to a Q&A question from an inquisitive audience member. "All for you. We weren't sure about it but I just decided just now."

So after a lawsuit filed against Gawker, a live reading featuring a fun cast, and some rumors of filming starting in 2015, it looks like Quentin is going to make The Hateful Eight after all!

Meanwhile, another audience member asked Quentin if he'd ever try to make a sci-fi film. His answer is pretty exciting!

"If you had asked me a few years ago I would have said: 'Nah, not really, I don't know.' But I have a little idea right now," he explained during the panel. "It's a little flower, you know, like a bean sprout, but those tend to grow into stalks. So this is the first time I'll be able to say 'maybe.' It won't be a spaceship sci-fi, it'll be Earthbound."
