Looks like that Breaking Bad marathon isn't the only nugget of joy AMC dropped for their fans as of late...
Despite that recent setback in which the network announced to push the November 2014 release of Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, it seems as if things are looking better than expected. The network has just announced that the series will debut in February 2015.
A solid date in February has not yet been mentioned, but the network claims they will reveal that closer to the new year. Regardless, production for the Bob Odenkirk-driven series is well underway. On the pushback, creator Vince Gilligan recently told the press, "We could have made the deadline, but I am slow as mud." He added, "I still feel I'm very slow for television."
It's been interesting to see the incredible job the folks at Better Call Saul have done to keep things under wraps, considering it is the spinoff of one of the most talked about shows of the year –– perhaps the decade. In fact, the very idea of a spinoff has many wondering what's in store for viewers.
And, of course, will Walter White (Bryan Cranston) make an appearance?
To that, Gilligan told reporters, "I don't think we're giving anything away to say that we're still figuring this out –– including if and when we'll see some of these characters. We like nonlinear storytelling. I would point you in the direction of anything that was possible on Breaking Bad is possible on Better Call Saul."
