After the news spread that Gilmore Girls was going to be streaming on Netflix in October, it was sure to be a good month. Netflix has now added even more movies and TV shows to their October lineup and the month has gone from great to awesome.
For people that want to switch up their Gilmore Girls series binge watch (yes, watching the whole series is a definite must), we've got a list of Netflix's new additions coming in October.
For starters, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is coming to the online streaming site on Oct. 22. This movie will be coming to the streaming service about a month before The Hunger Games' third installment Mockingjay — Part 1 hits theaters, which is ideal for catching up on the series.
For people that prefer romantic comedies, Sleepless in Seattle is coming on Oct. 1. The film stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks who fall in love after a radio show. It is charming, sweet and a must-watch. Another love story coming to Netflix Oct. 1 is The Wedding Planner starring Jennifer Lopez. The classic Shakespeare tale Romeo + Juliet will also be coming to Netflix for all those that miss '90s heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio.
Other films that begin in October are Charlie's Angles: Full Throttle (Oct.1), Carrie starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Oct. 2) and Chicken Run.
As for TV, binge-watchers can look forward to The Vampire Diaries' season five. The vampire-based CW show starring Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder is a show that's easy to get hooked on. The current season (season six) returns to the CW on Oct.1.
The Vampire Diaries' spinoff The Originals season one will also be available to watch on Oct. 2. Two more CW shows will also be streaming next month. Supernatural season nine (Oct. 7) and Arrow season two (Oct. 8). FX's hit show Sons of Anarchy season six (Oct. 25) and the hilarious new show, Chelsea Handler Uganda Be Kidding Me (Oct.1) are also worth watching.
Django Unchained (Oct. 25), Kramer vs. Kramer (Oct. 1), Rain Man (Oct. 31), Galaxy Quest (Oct. 1), Shane (Oct. 1) and Paths of Glory (Oct.1) will also be available to watch.
