With the premiere of the upcoming CW series two weeks away, a new behind-the-scenes featurette has been released for the upcoming The Flash series.
Will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) meet his deadliest enemy, Reverse-Flash, like in the DC Comics event Rebirth?
In the video interview, executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti talk about the supervillains who will be showing up on the show. Based on the footage and previous trailers, we can tell the scarlet speedster will face the Weather Wizard in the pilot. Further down the line, Allen will face the memory that has haunted him his entire life: the death of his mother.
Berlanti explains, "Geoff Johns is one of our creative partners. His run of Rebirth and The Flash, how the character is introduced, is something that's mentioned in the pilot. But how we twist and turn that will, hopefully, make it ... exciting for the audience as well."
In Rebirth, Reverse-Flash traveled back in time to kill Iris West before she first meets Barry. To save the love of his life, Barry raced faster than the speed of light to push through the time barrier. Johns is known for bringing back Barry into the DC Universe after he was thought dead after the Crisis on Infinite Earths stoyrline.

As we mentioned here, Barry meets his father Henry (John Wesley Shipp) in prison. The yellow-costumed supervillain framed Henry for the murder of his beloved wife. We have our own suspicions of who Reverse-Flash is in the series.
The Flash will premiere on The CW Oct. 7.
