‘Mad Men’ Star Kiernan Shipka Is Finally Allowed To Watch The AMC Show And Can’t Stop Binge-Watching It

Mad Men's a TV phenomenon and has a huge cult following, but Kiernan Shipka has barely seen the show until recently. Kiernan plays Sally Draper on the hit AMC show, but because of her age, her parents didn't let her watch it often. But that all changed when she got a cold, leading her to binge watch the show.

The 14-year-old actress revealed that she hasn't always been able to watch the hit drama.

"I wasn't allowed to watch it in the beginning, obviously because of all the adult stuff," Kiernan told elle.com in Los Angeles at the Gala in the Garden at the Hammer Museum.

Mad Men first premiered in 2007, but it wasn't until this year that Kiernan jumped on the Mad Men binge-watching train.

"I was recently sick and I decided I would Netflix it. I was like, 'Why don't I just watch Mad Men?' So that's the thing I binge-watched. It's really funny. I went back and watched it all. I'm so small! It's weird to see myself. It's like looking at old home videos," she revealed to the publication.

The AMC show finished tapping earlier this year and the second half of the final season will air in 2015. After seven seasons, Kiernan has fallen in love with Sally Draper's killer wardrobe and we can't blame her.

"The silver dress with the go-go boots was my favorite," the Flowers in the Attic actress explained.

"That was a very memorable one. And then I think Sally's casual wear is really cool. It's very chic. I wear stuff like that. I love her skirts. And in Season 1, when it was her birthday, I loved that pink-and-blue gingham dress. I think that was beautiful. There's been an array of great looks for Sally."

In addition to Mad Men's final season, Kiernan has other exciting news.

The young actress was just named one of Time's 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014. Since her beginnings on Mad Men when she was only 5, "she's transformed into a central, scene-stealing character that may well launch Shipka into superstardom," Time reported.
