The Seattle Seahawks may be the defending NFL Super Bowl champions, but that doesn't mean it's all peaches and roses that surround their franchise. They're struggling this season, although they still have a chance of making the playoffs, it doesn't seem like they'll be the threat they were just one year ago. The team is largely built around the offensive superstars Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, but could one of them soon be heading out the door to another franchise? After yet another surprise defeat, one of their stars hit out at the team, and if they weren't already thinking of trading him, they will be now.
Lynch might be their star man, but he has been linked with a departure all season, and it seems that's all but a certainty now. After their 24-20 loss, he hit out at the team, perhaps showing his frustrations at the franchise. He didn't exactly move to silence the rumors surrounding his future. When he was asked about his future, he replied, saying, "Do I think I'll be gone after this season? I don't know, man. The Seahawks, their front office gets in the media; they talk a lot. I don't talk too much. I just play the game. If they have something going on, I don't know about it."
Not many NFL teams will stand for that kind of verbal attack, especially from a RB. The RB is largely considered the easiest attacking position to replace, and although he's one of the best at what he does, the Seahawks will look to save money and replace his evident ability, but more importantly his attitude, from the locker room.
Lynch hasn't seemed happy for a long, long while, and there will be a whole host of interested teams, but will they decide to stick with him despite his verbal negativity?
