Did ‘Love And Hip Hop’ Star Chink Santana Really Date Ashanti? Producer And Singer Were A Rumored Couple...Santana Says, "I Love Her To Death" [DETAILS]

Did Ashanti date the new Love & Hip Hop New York star, Chink Santana? It appears that way, if you asked VH1. The R&B musician and producer worked with the singer in the past, and mentioned her during the first episode of Love & Hip Hop New York.

Santana, who is now dating Chrissy Monroe, reflected on the past when he worked with Ashanti, and revealed that he was behind the singer's first two albums. Santana also appeared in Ashanti's 2005 video, Don't Let Them.

Here's a little bit of background on Monroe, Santana's current girlfriend. "She moved to NYC, where she was signed to the Pabst Brewing Company as a model/brand spokesperson. She quickly landed roles in Michael Moore's The Awful Truth and was a recurring character at Monique's Comedy Club/Baltimore City Soap Opera Studio sitcom. Chrissy also runs a full spectrum talent agency, Le Jeu Entertainment."

So what kind of relationship did Ashanti and Santana have? There were always rumors that the two were a pair, but Ashanti was dating Nelly at that time.

Ashanti's relationship with Santana was very controversial, because he was supposed to be dating Keyshia Cole at that time, as both ladies were apparently beefing over the producer.

If these rumors are true, this may be the reason Ashanti kept her love life private.

MStars News previously reported that Ashanti blamed most of her breakup drama with Nelly on herself, because she didn't like her business being in the public.

"A lot of that was me. I'm very, 'I don't like to have my stuff on blast,'" Ashanti said in a previous interview.

In 2012 when asked about Ashanti, Chink stated: "I love her to death...Every record that she ever had was a hit record and I gave it to her. She needs me like I need her. She's the most phenomenal writer I've ever met before. I don't know what else to say about her without getting all emotional. I'll give her my ankle if she needed it."
