It looks like Twitter liked the new Lifetime film Whitney. MStars News has been covering all the pros and cons of Angela Bassett's directorial debut as she covered the earlier life of Whitney Houston.
In the film, Yaya DaCosta channeled the singer as she took on Houston's greatest hits moments, including the years of her life with Bobby Brown (Arlen Escarpeta).
Despite the drama the film had with Houston's family, Bassett and her team went on to produce the Lifetime biopic.
Now Twitter has decided to speak, and it seems that fans of the late singer, who died during Grammys weekend in 2012, are giving it great reviews.
Take a look at some of the reactions from Saturday night, Jan. 17's movie:
I was infatuated with/obsessed over #Whitney for years and I must say @theyayadacosta is really giving her expressions. Bravo Yaya, Bravo.

It needs to be said. The ultimate achievement of #Whitney on @lifetimetv was the singing by @Deborah_Cox. Breathtaking beyond belief.

MStars Newswants to hear from you. Do you think Angela Bassett did a great job, or do you feel like fans loved the film because it was produced by someone who once played Tina Turner?
