Carnie Wilson of the singing trio "Wilson Phillips" reveals via Twitter that she's been struggling with a nerve disorder, Bell's Palsy, which causes paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face. On March 14th the 44-year-old singer tweeted about her diagnosis: "Just wanted you all 2 know that I have Bell's Palsy on lf side of face right now. Scary, unfortunate, but it goes away. A challenge! "Mob Wives Chicago" star Pia Rizza apparently had her Playboy dreams crushed when the adult magazine rejected Pia's request for a nude feature after receiving her nude photos last week. The Examiner reported today that sources close to Rizza said that her images were submitted to Playboy last weekend, but the magazine quickly shot down the idea, saying they weren't interested at this time. Michael Phelps will attend the 2016 Olympics in Brazil...as a spectator only! The gold-medalist and retired swimmer was in Rio, the location of the next summer Olympics, last week accepting the Exceptional Achievement Award at the Laureus Sports Awards, reports UPI. Upon receiving the award honoring his feat of winning a record 22 Olympic medals (the most of any athlete in any sport) Phelps reiterated that his swimming career was over and claimed he would not be returning to the pool for the 2016 Olympics. The Van Halen band members aren't the only ones who like to speak freely about being "hot for teacher." According to an AOL News video report on March 16, a student was suspended from college for writing an essay about his attraction to his teachers at Oakland University in Detroit. He is now suing the school over the free speech and freedom of expression violations. Joseph Corlett, 57, is seeking over $2 million from the college for allegedly violating his civil rights, based on the Friday court filing. Read More »
The "Dixie Chicks" trio is currently down to one lone chick as the group's lead singer, Natalie Maines, attempts to fly solo at the SXSW festival. The "Mother" singer left her other two "chicks" behind when she nervously took the stage as a solo artist for one of the first times at Austin's "South by Southwest" on Wednesday, reports USA Today. "It's been almost 10 years to the day that the Dixie Chicks spitfire slammed then-President George W. Bush and forever changed the fate and fortunes of the country superstars," AP reports. American Idol season may be putting too much stress on Ryan Seacrest's relationship, as the show's host has split up with former girlfriend and actress/dancer Julianne Hough! After dating for more than two years, Seacrest, 38, and Hough, 24, have "amicably" decided to take a break and are currently living apart, sources close to the couple confirm to PEOPLE. The sources added that both of their busy work schedules proved to be a great challenge for the two celebrities. Beyonce's man will be "jazzing" up the new The Great Gatsby movie soundtrack! It was confirmed by Reuters yesterday that rapper Jay-Z will serve as The Great Gatsby soundtrack's executive producer and contribute original music to Leo DiCaprio's new highly anticipated movie. Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter said he will bring a modern "Jazz Age" energy to the soundtrack for the adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel of 1920s America. Miley Cyrus has been freshly inked with a heart tattoo by Kat Von D! The starlet, who is reportedly in the middle of a breakup with her fiance Liam Hemsworth, decided to stop by the famous tattoo artists' studio High Voltage in Hollywood yesterday to add the brand new tattoo to her growing collection, reports E! News. On Friday, Kat Von D posted on Instagram stating she, "Just did the RADDEST tattoo on @MileyCyrus - a miniature rendition of a daVinci anatomical heart." Dave Chappelle gave a surprise standup show at New York's Comedy Cellar this week and joked with audience member, and fellow comedian, Chris Rock about touring together, reports UPI. Ever since the comedian walked away from his Comedy Central show back in 2005, fans of Chappelle have been hoping for a comeback. With the comedian spending three recent nights onstage at the Comedy Cellar and joking about touring with his friend Rock, there is speculation that this could be Chappelle's return to the standup spotlight. Rumors are surfacing that the "Wide Awake" singer Katy Perry signed a book deal reportedly worth $3 Million. British tabloids reported Thursday that the pop star signed the autobiography deal, while the singer's rep tells E! News that this is not true. Is Perry following in ex husband Russell Brand's footsteps and writing a memoir of her own to dish the details of their 14 month marriage? The conflicting reports on this matter seem to be "Hot & Cold." Last month, British comedian Russell Brand said that he was writing another memoir following his two "Booky Work" autobiographies. The newest book will apparently touch on his 14-month marriage to his ex Perry.
