"Silver Linings Playbook" beauty Jennifer Lawrence won over the hearts of both fans and critics alike during Sunday evening's 85th annual Academy Awards - not only did she ever-so-gracefully trip onstage while going up to accept the award for "Best Actress," but she apparently had some fun backstage flipping-off the paparazzi, taking shots, and flirting with actor Jack Nicholson. It's true - the 75-year-old "The Shining" star interrupted the 23-year-old starlet's post-Oscars interview with George Stephanopoulos to "hint" that he's thought about making her his next leading lady. Though LeBron James has admitted that he will never enter the Slam Dunk Contest, it looks like he can still pull off dunks worthy of the highest prize. In last night's warm-ups before he took the court with his Miami Heat teammates against the Clevland Cavaliers, "King James" messed around with some shots, eventually pulling off one of the most ridiculous dunks in NBA history. He manages to jump from right past the free-throw line, put the ball between his legs, switch hands, throw it off of the back board, run up, and slam it home. LeBron even impressed himself. Kristen Stewart caused quite the media buzz this weekend, snagging multiple Razzie awards for her "mundane" performance in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" and for limping her way down the Red Carpet at Sunday evening's 85th annual Academy Awards. But of course Hollywood Life had to drag some Robert Pattinson relationship drama into the gossip mix, reporting that Stewart attempted to make her "Twilight" beau jealous on Friday night (Feb. 22) by flirting and partying with her longtime pal, CJ Romero. Apparently K-Stew "limped" into Romero's arms in a more-than-friendly way while hanging out with a group of guy friends in Los Feliz... and she did it while wearing one of R-Patz's shirts! But it looks like the seedy gossip outlet is just trying to make a big deal out of nothing (again) - Gossip Cop confirms that the embrace was totally platonic and that Romero is no way interested in Stewart romantically. Passion Pit frontman and songwriter Michael Angelakos took to Twitter last night during the Oscars to criticize the Best Film nominee, Silver Linings Playbook, for its dipiction of mental illness. Throughout the night, the singer posted numerous tweets explaining why he considers the Dabid O. Russel-directed film to be "Cheap" and "Lazy" for the use of mentally disabled characters. This Twitter activity was mostly other users tweeting back and forth with Angelakos, which allowed him to elaborate on his statement. Reports confirm that four individuals (two children and two adults) were forced to abandon ship after their sailboat Cahrmblow began sinking off the coast of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, CA on Sunday (Feb. 24). The ship's crew - allegedly made up of a wife, husband, the couple's four-year-old son, and the boy's young cousin - made distress calls to California's Coast Guard at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, claiming that the sailboat was taking on water and that electronics were quickly failing. The crew lost contact with authorities shortly after reporting that they were forced to abandon ship. A massive water and air search is currently underway just south of San Francisco in an attempt to find the four family members lost in the Pacific. Read More »
