Rock band Queens of the Stone Age likely didn't need to create any more excitement for their new album Like Clockwork, but news of artists like Arcitc Monkeys front man Alex Turner, Dave Grohl and Elton John working on the album definitely adds to it. The band just recently signed with Matador Records to release their latest album in June. Some people are just naturally stronger than others, while some use performance enhancing drugs or steroids to get stronger. I'm not sure which category Matt Poursoltani falls into, but either way, he showed an impressive feat of strength on March 23 at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association event. Grammy Award winning singer Michael Buble just released his latest music video for his new single "It's A Beautiful Day." The video is done in typical Buble fashion with a very funny opening segment featuring actress Jaime Pressly and the guy from the Super Bowl Go Daddy commercial Jesse Heiman. The song is the second track to be released from Buble's latest album To Be Loved. The song is very upbeat and has the makings of another hit for Buble. Read More »
"Monday Night Raw" from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA last night (March 25) was a solid show. More importantly, it was the second to last "Raw" before "WrestleMania 29" on April 7 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium. WWE hyped up The Rock's return to "Raw" and they used it as an opportunity to build up his match with John Cena. The two wrestlers were apart of the main segment along with WWE Hall of Famers Bret Hart, Booker T, Dusty Rhodes, Mick Foley, and Jerry Lawler. Read More »

Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg is coming out with a highly anticipated new album titled "Reincarnated." The reggae album is set to be released April 23, but the rapper just released the track listing for his new album and there are some big names featured as collaborators. Among the artists included on the new album are Miley Cyrus, Drake, Chris Brown, Rita Ora, Akon, T.I., Busta Rhymes, and Snoop's own daughter Cori B. Since opening September 21, 2012, Brooklyn's Barclays Center has hosted a number of huge events outside of it's usual gig as the home of the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z opened up the arena with a string of concerts, then a number of big performers visited the Barclays Center such as the Rolling Stones and Barbara Streisand. In addition, Beyonce and Rihanna have concerts scheduled in the summer of 2013. However, another major event will be taking place in Brooklyn this year. The latest chapter in "The Wolverine" saga is coming to theaters July 26, 2013. Fans won't have to wait to see some pictures and video though. A new teaser trailer was just released by the film's director James Mangold. Okay, so the teaser trailer is just six seconds, but it's still something. Now, the Jonas Brothers are trying to make a musical comeback. The Jonas Brothers' new single titled "Pom Poms" is set to be released April 9, but a preview has already been released on Amazon. The much-anticipated remake of the classic film "Godzilla" is expected to be released in theaters just over a year from now. On May 16, 2014, fans will get to see the return of "Godzilla" to the big screen. Up until now, there hasn't been a great amount of news surrounding the film, but there has just been some behind-the-scenes footage released. Director Gareth Edwards is in the process of shooting the film now and Canadian news channel CTV provided a news report following the latest with the "Godzilla" film. Read More »
The Steubenville, Ohio rape case involving two high school football stars became a viral news story. The case was essentially created online through digital and social media channels. The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was blacked out and didn't remember the incident, but because of text messages and cell phone pictures spread on the Internet the prosecution was able to find the two Steubenville teenagers guilty of rape. Once again, online media is helping shape this story. A YouTube user "Samantha Stendal" posted a video on March 22 titled "A Needed Response" showing rapists everywhere how they should react to a drunk teenage girl being passed out on their couch. Believe it or not there are only two more "Raw" shows until "WrestleMania 29" on April 7 in East Rutherford, NJ. With tonight's episode of "Monday Night Raw," look for the WWE to make strong pushes to fill out the rest of the match card, while continuing buildup for the main event matches already booked. Just last week I mentioned how fans haven't seen much of rapper Eminem recently. Now, word is Eminem and Dr. Dre are finishing up a brand new album. Marshall Mathers aka Eminem's new album is expected to drop later this year with recording finishing up right now and live shows being set up as we speak.
