Kobe Bryant Retiring? Injured LA Lakers Star Career Over After Rotator Cuff Injury? Will He Return, Or Is This The End For NBA's Black Mamba?

Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night, and the team report that he will fly back to LA to be examined by team doctors, missing the team's game against reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs this Friday. It raises the question of, after three straight seasons of major injuries whether or not, the 36 year old superstar will retire, or play out the last remaining year on his mammoth contract. If he undergoes surgery, it could mean a six month long recovery, if it's a similar injury to the torn rotator cuff suffered by the Spurs Patty Mills. Read More »

Watch Will Ferrell Nail Cheerleader In The Face With A Basketball; Get Dragged by Arena Security [VIDEO]

Will Ferrell nailed a cheerleader in the face with a basketball during halftime of Wednesday's New Orleans Pelicans game against the Los Angeles Lakers, and had to be carried out of the arena by security guards. After stumbling around and dedicating the shot to "Dylan and Megan and Sarah and Dylan" — and calling out his wife 'Sarah' for cheating on him with 'Scott' — Ferrel lined up for a half court shot... but the obviously drunk star of Anchorman and Talladega Nights instead threw the ball directly into the unsuspecting face of an onlooking cheerleader. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has said that he had no knowledge of the 11 of 12 game balls being under-inflated until he was told about it on Monday, adding that he was "shocked" by the news. He then left it to quarterback Tom Brady to explain his preferences, and that he has "no explanation for what happened." Baltimore Ravens player Chris Canty has said that DeflateGate is the same as using PEDs and is against the integrity of the game. The whopping new evaluations come as two of those eleven, the league-leading Atlanta Hawks and struggling, Russian-owned Brooklyn Nets are up for sale (potentially, at least, with the Nets), and the league enjoying a league-wide boom in revenue.
