Fred Armisen looks like Rick Moranis? Apparently! Portlandia stars Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen last night took to The Tonight Show and revealed who people's favorite characters from the show are... and Fred related to host Jimmy Fallon how recently - while visiting Disneyland - the former SNL star and current Late Night With Seth Meyers bandleader was mistaken for 1980s movie star Rick Moranis. They also revealed how Portlandia's Women & Women First feminist bookstore owners Candace and Toni first met...
Ahead of tonight's season premiere of Portlandia — and as accusations of the show being out of touch roll in — Brownstein and Armisen talked about the surprising popularity of the show, which is (obviously) set in Portland, Oregon, and features Armisen and Brownstein playing a range of characters and poking some light, satirical fun at white liberal types.

Brownstein tells Fallon that with the show's popularity people now come up to her on the street and "Quote the show," she explained. "It's very flattering. It's strange."
Fred, though, had the story to end all stories, saying "This is a little unrelated but I was in Disneyland, and this family was looking at me, and they were from India - I gathered, afterwards - and the dad comes up to me, and goes, "I think you were really great in Honey I Shrunk The Kids."
Yep. Fred looks like Rick Moranis.
"I don't know why he thought that, if it was a new movie, or if I was from that time," grinned Fred. "I said 'Thank you'."
The pair also talked about how the Women & Women First feminist bookstore owners Candace & Toni are people's favorite characters. Watch the segment — plus a new clip from Portlandia showing how Candace and Toni met — below.
The two also revealed that they met at an SNL after party, while Fred was wearing a "Carrie Brownstein pin." Which, says Carrie, "is a bit weird when you meet someone wearing a pin with your face on it." Check that out below.
Also, in a web-only exclusive they also talk about the smells of Portland, with Fred revealing that "Carrie is very squeamish when it comes to food things." He looks at Carrie and giggles, "remember the dumpster divers. We had to make a pretend stew of junk soup and stuff you'd find in the garbage, and there was a real smell of it and Carrie was for very real gagging... that's the realism of Portlandia."
They also talk about eating fake flesh ("bread soaked in food coloring") which caused Carrie to throw up, riding a one-wheeled motorcycle, and learning how to milk a dairy cow, while trying to figure out how to pet it for the show.
The best bit? At the very end where they confess that they're really "into each other" and that every take they've done ends with them "making out", "fully", they joke.
Check out the web-only exclusive below. The new season of Portlandia kicks off tonight at 10 p.m. on IFC.
