Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is being sued for copyright infringement. The over $100 million lawsuit alleges that the 52-year old Pulp Fiction legend stole the premise of his 2012 film Django Unchained, for which he won an Oscar for best original screenplay, from a 2004 WGA registered script titled Freedom. The suit, which also names the Weinstein Company and Columbia Pictures as defendants, was filed by Freedom screenwriters Oscar Colvin Jr. and Torrance J. Colvin. Read More »

The ceremony came right before the opening of his latest feature, The Hateful Eight, and right after some controversial comments. According to a new report by the NY Post, two time Oscar winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino lied about having spent time in jail. The news comes hot on the heels of the Pulp Fiction creator's controversial involvement in an anti police violence rally at New York's Washington Square Park last month. In 2014, "Django Unchained" actress, Danielle Watts, was arrested for allegedly having sex in a car with her boyfriend, Brian Lucas. For the incident, the judge offered the couple a plea deal where all they had to do was write the arresting officer an apology letter. During the arrest, Watts called the officer racist and in the letter, she sarcastically blamed what happened to her and her boyfriend on the actions of other police officers. Read More »
