Unfortunately for Daft Punk fans, it doesn't look like the French duo will be going on a 2013 tour anytime soon. However, with the release of their single "Get Lucky" and new album Random Access Memories, fans should be held over for the foreseeable future. The band has had massive success with their 2013 album, which features an array of guest collaborations. The mysterious musicians Thomas Banglater and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk have scored big with their Random Access Memories album. The French duo has released their best album to date, according to MTV News, Random Access Memories is their first #1 album and second-best debut of the year on the Billboard 200 next week (behind Justin Timberlake's 968,000 for The 20/20 Experience). In case you didn't already know, people really seem to like Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." The first single off of their new album Random Access Memories snatched the world's attention via a teaser clip on SNL and hasn't let go ever since. The amount of remixes and covers the song has spawned more than validate its cultural relevancy, however, fans have expressed their feelings for the song in a much more important way: via their wallets. The good news just keeps on coming for French electronic duo Daft Punk. The band, consisting of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, are releasing their new album Random Access Memories May 20, their first studio album since 2005's Human After All. Daft Punk fans are nothing if not crafty. After the "Get Lucky" trailer was released countless bogus fan-made leaks surfaced (many were just loops of the audio from the teaser but the fake put together by SONiC 102.9 in Edmonton had verses and everything). Now that we have heard the full track for real for real, Daft fans are moving on to the next step: creating their own music videos. Pharrell Williams performed the record breaking new single "Get Lucky" from Daft Punk Friday night at a New York City show. Williams collaborated with the French musicians on their new album Random Access Memories and performed with them on their most recent single. The band has used a clever marketing plan, unveiling teaser videos on "Saturday Night Live" and at Coachella. They recently just released the new single "Get Lucky," which has already become a major hit for the French electronic duo.
