And keeping true to his schedule, the vet comic did just that earlier today. In this newest one titled “OMG” – youngster lingo for “Oh My God” – Seinfeld discusses God (sort of) with the likes of Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, Colin Quinn, and more. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee may be off the air for a little bit but it seems Seinfeld isn’t done delivering to his followers a collection of funny goodness … if that’s a thing? Just last week, the Seinfeld star shared a Single Shot video – you know, the “Grow A Pair” clip – just after his NBC series co-creator, and Curb Your Enthusiasm star, Larry David gave an in-depth interview on the Howard Stern Show for his new Broadway play Fish in the Dark. Today, however, it appears the veteran comedian is present at the Detroit Auto Show with Acura, who sponsors his famed web series. Season 5 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is finished, yes, but that doesn't mean Jerry Seinfeld stops bringing the funny to his CCC audience. The famed comedian just dropped a new video from his uber successful web series, a scaled down version that clips together numerous snippets from various seasons into what he calls a "Single Shot" –– you know, like the coffee. Anyway, this newest one brings in the likes of Daily Show host Jon Stewart, comedian Amy Schumer and Howard Stern. The latter of which comes fresh off his interview with Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David. It looks like Seinfeld-a-holics may be getting into the medical profession, because it’s being reported that a class at New Jersey’s Rutgers University allows medical students to watch the famed NBC comedy from Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David in order to learn about psychiatry. Who knew that for nine brilliant season not only were we getting some of the best comedy that television has ever offered, but we were also getting a Ph. D in psychiatry. Many would merely cut it down to something as vague as “someone who tells jokes” – but if you ask Jerry Seinfeld and a number of his funny friends, it appears there’s so much more involved. The veteran comic recently put together a small group of clips to release his newest Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Single Shot “What Is A Comedian?” to try and answer the question. Of course, not the whole crowding-around-a-pole thing, but at least the airing of the grievances. Jerry Seinfeld is certainly ending Season 5 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with a bang. The veteran comic aired a two-part episode of his web series with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon earlier today. In the video, the two comedians cruise around in an old vet and head on out to the water before grabbing themselves some coffee and pancakes in Long Island. Hilariously enough, most of Part 1 was just Seinfeld trying to get his boat off of his Land Rover. Which he did, we might add. The two-parters comes after hilarious episodes that include Portlandia star Fred Armisen, the ever so funny stand up Kevin Hart, YouTube personality Miranda Sings and a number of others. Read More »
It’s hard to believe it but Season 5 of Jerry Seinfeld’ Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is coming to a close this Thursday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. EST. But don’t be too sad; this season is surely going out with a bang! Having already delivered an entertaining season, this last episode proves to be no different – actually, perhaps it’s “the best episode yet” – because Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon is stepping in to end out the season. Together with Seinfeld, the two comics succeed in getting “weird” not only in the car but also on a boat. Will this be better than Portlandia star Fred Armisen’s tour around Portland or Breaking Bad’s Bill Burr’s sit down at a cigar shop? Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see! Read More »
A new Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee dropped today, which means that we must be towards the end of the week! In this newest episode – which follows the likes of Fred Armisen, Kevin Hart and stand up Bill Burr – comic Jerry Seinfeld introduces “Waspy Week” with guest Ali Wentworth, who was the lead in the Starz series Head Case. The two have been friends for years – Seinfeld and his wife often hang with Wentworth and her husband, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. In fact, the actress also happened to appear on an episode of Seinfeld back in the 90s, so we can say for certain that it’s been a long, long friendship. Read More »
