NFL Reporter Adam Schefter Has Twitter Account Hacked [PHOTO]

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 22, 2014 08:52 AM EST

Breaking news: Adam Schefter's Twitter account broke another story. The NFL reporter extraordinaire's account was hacked Saturday night, Dec. 13, in what looks to be a journalism no-no: a blatant attack of privacy reported without a source's consent. OK, so the hack didn't come from an anonymous tech geek with a vendetta looking to get Schefter in hot water. But it did break a story. This one, though, has nothing to do with the NFL. "This is Adam's wife, Sharri...." the tweet began. "...hijacking his Twitter and proving that he does sleep." Sharri Schefter then posted a photo of her husband and their daughter passed out, snoozing hand in hand. The tweet was an instant hit among the ESPN reporter's 3.1 million followers, grabbing more than 2,000 retweets and 6,000 favorites in the first 20 minutes. Like most stories Schefter reports, this one seems to have legs. Read More »

Ray Rice Video: New Footage Surfaces of Couple Kissing After Ex-Baltimore Ravens Star Punched Wife

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 21, 2014 12:19 PM EST

The saga continues. New video surfaced late Friday, Dec. 19, of former NFL star Ray Rice and wife Janay Palmer kissing in an elevator shortly after Rice punched Palmer in an incident that earned him a league-wide suspension and national disgrace. The video, obtained by ABC News, shows the aftermath of the now-infamous incident in an Atlantic City, New Jersey, casino. Palmer is seen crying and handcuffed while being talked to by security officials after the incident occurred Feb. 15, according to Fox News. Rice was handcuffed and his information was taken. Then the video shows him being escorted, along with Palmer, into an elevator, by security. The two then spend the ride nudging and kissing, while Rice's hood is pulled over his head. ABC released about 2 1/2 minutes of the video, which is closer to 45 minutes long in its entirety, Fox News reported. Fox News also reported that Rice entered a facility for treatment after the incident in order to drop the charges and that the charges against Palmer were dropped. Read More »

Denver Broncos Super Bowl Guarantee: Terrance Knighton Says “Write That And Put a Big Period After That One" [VIDEO]

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 15, 2014 12:45 PM EST

"I don't care if New England doesn't lose again," Knighton told the Post. "I don't care where we have to play. I don't care who our opponent is. We're not going to be satisfied until we hoist that trophy. So if we've got to go to New England and win somewhere we're not used to winning, we're going to make it happen." Knighton has a reason to be confident, as the Broncos can obviously win even when quarterback Peyton Manning isn't at his best. Manning was dealing with a stomach flu, according to ESPN. He still tossed for 233 yards and led the Broncos to their third division title in his three years with the team. Read More »

California Dreamin’: Still No NFL Team On L.A. Horizon

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 15, 2014 12:29 PM EST

The NFL has been without a Los Angeles team since 1994, when the Raiders and Rams moved to Oakland and St. Louis. And it seems like rumors of a team returning to the City of Angels have existed ever since those squads left. For now, the city is still left waiting and wishing. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told "The New York Times" that a move to Los Angeles is still unlikely to happen all the way in the future of 2015. Meaning fans in SoCal will have to wait at least another year. "I'm not at the point where I would tell you that anything is imminent or that we have a solution identified at this point in time," Goodell told the Times. "There is progress, but we've all heard that before." The most likely teams to move to L.A. one day are the San Diego Chargers, Raiders or Rams, according to "Sports Illustrated." That's because all three can wiggle out of stadium leases next year, giving them flexibility to uproot. Real estate mogul Stan Kroenke, who owns the Rams, owns property in Los Angeles large enough for a stadium to be built. The Rams are also peeved about not being able to agree with their lender for plans to renovate the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, according to "Sports Illustrated." Read More »

Fantasy Football: When Was the Last Time Aaron Rodgers Played as Bad as He Did Sunday?

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 15, 2014 11:43 AM EST

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the NFL MVP in 2011 and was on a short list to win the award again this season. But he stunk Sunday, Dec. 14. Stunk — and the Packers dropped a head-turner of an upset to the Buffalo Bills 21-13. How bad was Rodgers? For the first time in his career, Rodgers didn't throw a touchdown and had two interceptions in a regular season game, according to the broadcast. Rodgers hadn't had a zero touchdown/two interception game since the 2010 NFC Championship, although Rodgers did run for a touchdown in that game. Another difference: The Packers won. They lost Sunday for just the fourth time this season and first since Oct. 26 against the New Orleans Saints. That was also the last time Rodgers had been intercepted. The Packers clearly go where Rodgers takes them. There have only been four times that the All-Pro has failed to reach 200 passing yards in a game, and Green Bay has lost three of those games, according to ESPN. Read More »

President Obama Blasts NFL for Ray Rice Situation in ESPN Radio Interview: League is "Behind The Curve" When it Comes to Domestic Violence [DETAILS]

By Joseph Trezza | Dec 12, 2014 04:09 PM EST

During an interview with ESPN's Colin Cowherd, Obama said the league's missteps constituted "blind spots" when handling the case, which involved a video of Rice punching his then-fiancée in an elevator, according to Sports Illustrated. The league experienced widespread backlash when it suspended Rice for only two games after speculation that it had seen the video before the general public. The incident put a very public face on the issue of domestic violence. Read More »
