For the extent of its career as the world's biggest boy band, One Direction has always been compared to the Beatles. Why many don't understand the comparison and take it as an insult to the Fab Four, there's no denying that the hype around The Beatles in the mid 1960s and on is definitely similar to what we're seeing these days with One Direction. In fact, some would say that, in terms of fame and celebrity, the Midnight Memories crooners are even bigger! That's what Harry Styles is saying, anyway. Read More »
Lauryn Hill was left as the only artist who could possibly one up The Flaming Lips during Dave Letterman's week-long tribute to The Beatles. I'm happy to say the former Fugee rose to the occasion with her performance of the George Harrison classic (making it, via the transitive property and George being the best Beatle, among the most classic) "Something." Rod Stewart would likely be considered the biggest British musician of all time were it not for the Beatles. Therefore, it's not exactly unexpected that the former Faces singer and accomplished solo artist would get a bit testy when a crowd of paps began asking him about the Fab Four. Read More »

Eminem continues breaking insane records with the recent release of his highly-anticipated 2013 album MMLP2. Currently, four new Slim Shady songs reside in the Top 20 of Billboard's Hot 100. The Beatles are going to be releasing new, old music this fall, according to Beatles fan-site WogBlog. The site appears to have uncovered the release plans for a second "Live at the BBC" Beatles album, featuring music not heard since it first aired back in the 1960's. If this report turns out to be true, Beatles fans will get to listen to the Fab Four's music as if it were new (assuming they never heard it live back in the 60’s). If WogBlog's information proves to be correct "Live at the BBC Vol. 2’s” release date will be this November. Read More »
Michael Zuk, a dentist from Canada, won John Lennon's rotted molar in an auction with a $31,200 bid. Though that is plenty of story right there, it gets weirder. Zuk is now trying to use the DNA from the molar to clone the deceased Beatle member. The tooth has recently been sent to a United States research lab for DNA sequencing. This means that DNA could be extracted from the tooth to continue the process. Read More »
