We already know about the casting of True Detective's season 2 leading cast, but this week we learned about the supporting players that will back them up. Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch (and possibly Rachel McAdams), will have an impressive supporting cast in 2015 on HBO with such stars as Michael Irby, Kelly Reilly, Abigail Spencer, and Leven Rambin signing on for the series. Season 2 of HBO's crime drama True Detective officially confirmed two huge casting updates this week when Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn were announced as the 2015 episodes' new protagonist and antagonist respectfully. This of course leaves the main female role(s) that creator Nic Pizzolatto and HBO announced earlier this year to be filled. According to some new rumors about the second season of HBO's hit crime drama True Detective, casting for the female lead has taken a step back in signing a leading lady and 7 (yes SEVEN) more actresses have been called in to read for the part. This means that earlier rumors about Jessica Chastain, then Elisabeth Moss, and most recently Rachel McAdams being close to landing the season 2 role(s) are most likely false. We know that you might be sick of True Detective season 2 casting rumors, but the latest gossip has us pretty excited. According to reports, Elisabeth Moss isn't the only actress in talks for the leading female role of the 2015 HBO series. Mean Girls starlet Rachel McAdams is apparently also up for the role!
