When news broke out that Microsoft's Xbox one was totally hammering Sony's PS4 in every essence, nobody thought that even game developers would soon abandon the older PS4. Actually both consoles are equally old in the market, only that the PS4 was released about a week earlier than Xbox One. Nintendo is rumored to be preparing for a grand announcement of their long-awaited Nintendo NX, this week on October 21. The NX had earlier being associated with Nintendo's Wii U and probably it's the successor to the Wii U, but the kind of features expected in this device somewhat puts it in a whole new league of competitors. The NX will come as a portable console just like the Wii U and DS consoles, only this time bigger. Microsoft’s Xbox One beats Sony’s PS4 in September’s NPD sales thus maintaining an unchallenged lead for three consecutive months. PS4 had for a long time maintained the top positon in both USA and UK sales, but very soon the title might shift to Microsoft's Xbox. This is the third month in a file that Xbox is taking home the title and it's almost certain that they might also take it in the next NPD challenge this month. Read More »
It was recently revealed that Sony was working on a hardware upgrade to the PlayStation 4, which is being referred to as the PS4.5 or PS4K. This has lead some to call for a Xbox One upgrade. Microsoft launched the Xbox One back in 2013, but also announced a slew of projects that were even more exciting than a new gaming console. One of which was a new television series airing on Showtime based on the popular video game franchise Halo, which would involve legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg! Since this announcement, we've seen Halo: Nightfall and Forward Unto Dawn, which had fans of the series figuring the Spielberg project was never going to happen. Halo 5: Guardians is about to kick off a highly anticipated open Xbox One Beta testing, but this week we were treated to a brand new trailer for the game's multiplayer modes. We get to experience some gameplay footage in this new teaser, months ahead of its October 2015 release date.
