It’s official – Dave Matthews is nearing 50-years-old. Not that that’s a bad thing, of course. The musician turns 48 today, just a week or so after announcing that the Dave Matthews Band 2015 tour schedule will soon be released – which has fans (including a certain writer at MStars News) uber excited. While the famed “Space Between” singer is nearing half-a-decade on this grand planet, he hasn’t lost his childish side. Following the horrific murders and attacks that took place in Paris surrounding the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo – which is now being known as the Charlie Hebdo Tragedy – the comedy world has done nothing but unleashed an outpour of support for those overseas. A couple of nights ago, outspoken liberal comedian Bill Maher stopped by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about what went down. And while the below clip definitely holds some funny to it, the Real Time host had no time getting … well, real … and deliver his sincere thoughts on the subject. Season 5 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is finished, yes, but that doesn't mean Jerry Seinfeld stops bringing the funny to his CCC audience. The famed comedian just dropped a new video from his uber successful web series, a scaled down version that clips together numerous snippets from various seasons into what he calls a "Single Shot" –– you know, like the coffee. Anyway, this newest one brings in the likes of Daily Show host Jon Stewart, comedian Amy Schumer and Howard Stern. The latter of which comes fresh off his interview with Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David. Following yesterday’s horrific news in Paris, France – where 12 people were murdered because a satirical newspapers made a number of jokes that offended a particular group – many in the comedy world could not help but feel somewhat uneasy. According to another new Google Trends list released by the search engine company, video games have become quite the search query on YouTube. Google released its top search terms for YouTube videos of 2014, and two of the top 9 subjects were video games, with Minecraft coming in second overall. It looks like Seinfeld-a-holics may be getting into the medical profession, because it’s being reported that a class at New Jersey’s Rutgers University allows medical students to watch the famed NBC comedy from Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David in order to learn about psychiatry. Who knew that for nine brilliant season not only were we getting some of the best comedy that television has ever offered, but we were also getting a Ph. D in psychiatry. With the retirement of David Letterman rapidly approaching and former Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert taking his place, people suddenly realized that CONAN host Conan O’Brien is now the elder of the late night crew. Since newcomer Seth Meyers has taken over the Late Night spot, Jimmy Fallon has dominated and changed The Tonight Show (for the better) and Craig Ferguson now finished, that leaves O’Brien to keep the late night we’ve grown to love over the years going.
