Last week William Shatner confirmed that he had indeed been contacted to make some sort of cameo appearance in Star Trek 3 after director Roberto Orci expressed his desire to reunite him with Leonard Nimoy on the big screen. So now we're all wondering what this cameo will be. Fortunately for us, new rumors are circulating about the details of this guest appearance, and we've got them for you below!

Check out our original coverage of the Shatner cameo rumors here!

The original rumor of Shatner's involvement came from Badass Digest, which also has the cameo details this week.

"My sources are now telling me that not only will Shatner be in the movie, his scene will have him meeting Chris Pine," the website explained. "Also in that scene: Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy. But if my sources are steering me correct this won't be original timeline Spock - it'll be future alt-timeline Kirk and Spock. Basically the scene will have Kirk and Spock interacting with their future selves."

These are just rumored details, so we'll have to wait for more solid evidence to back this up before we get our hopes up. Also, Nimoy hasn't even signed on to the project, so who knows if we'll see the reunion anyway?

"I haven't seen a script and nothing has been confirmed but I would happy to be involved again," he told the crowd at Destination Star Trek 3 via Skype according to TrekMovie.
