Dave Matthews has been known to pound back a drink or two. In fact, if you've seen his Storytellers episode from years ago you know he's got a few tales to back it up. And today, at the age of 48, it looks like the DMB frontman is still enjoying a cold one, as he recently pulled over a fan in Atlanta while the two were in traffic just to ask where there was a decent nearby bar. Well, the Super Bowl XLIX is coming up this Sunday, Feb. 1. To celebrate, the city of Seattle – who will be celebrating their defending champs, the Seattle Seahawks – has asked Dave Matthews to raise the Seahawks’ 12th man flag during a ceremony this coming Thursday, Jan. 29. News of the Dave Matthews Band frontman’s hoist comes just after the whole Tom Brady, New England Patriots – who will be playing the Seahawks this Sunday – “DeflateGate” scandal, which claims the team was using deflated footballs during their game last week. It’s official – Dave Matthews is nearing 50-years-old. Not that that’s a bad thing, of course. The musician turns 48 today, just a week or so after announcing that the Dave Matthews Band 2015 tour schedule will soon be released – which has fans (including a certain writer at MStars News) uber excited. While the famed “Space Between” singer is nearing half-a-decade on this grand planet, he hasn’t lost his childish side. If you’ve been following the band’s account you realize the recently finished up their 2014 Summer Concert tour, where they introduced the now-famous #DMB2Sets. Now that they have some time on their hands they’re onto some holiday wishes! In a new video out from Rockbridge Guitar Company, the company that made one of the Dave Matthews Band frontman’s many guitars, the famed musician and guitar-maker go face-to-face in an INTENSE slap fight that has seemed to have gone on for quite some time, perhaps even through DMB’s 2014 Summer Concert Tour, where they unveiled the now famous two-set concerts – one acoustic set comprised of the band followed by a rocking set, which crowds are used to seeing. Fans of the Dave Matthews Band always look forward to summer. Not only because of the warm weather and beautiful beaches but also because the iconic rock band makes their annual summer concert tour. And this past summer was certainly no different, though it DID have a little spin –– the #DMB2Set. Yes, taking to the stage after 20 years of being a group, the now legendary jam band decided to switch things up a bit and delight the crowds with a different kind of opening act, which was them performing a shortened acoustic set before the killer performances we've grown to know over the years. And now, the group is taking to their Instagram account to remember what good fun they had this past summer. And seeing as how the band's debut studio album Under The Table And Dreaming celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, we couldn't be more thrilled for the tour. Read More »
