The cast and crew of Star Trek 3, which we recently confirmed to be titled Star Trek Beyond, have partnered with Omaze to introduce a new charity initiative for fans of the movies and nine charities that will benefit from this event. Lucky fans can enter to win prizes, including a walk-on role in the highly anticipated new movie, and all of the proceeds will go to the charities involved. After rumors spread earlier in 2015 that the next Star Trek movie would actually be called Star Trek Beyond instead of Star Trek 3, we've been waiting for an official confirmation from those involved. Simon Pegg, who is co-writing and co-starring in the next sci-fi blockbuster, mentioned the title in a blog post, but hadn't addressed this slip-up since. Acclaimed writer and producer Roberto Orci was about to take over the director's chair for the yet-to-be titled Star Trek 3 movie, but this week we learned that he didn't get the job.
