Meg Ryan is set to join the cast as the narrator for the new CBS series How I Met You Dad. She will star as the future version of main character Sally played by actress Greta Gerwig. Ryan will star in a similar position to that which Bob Saget had in the original series. Saget played the future version of main character Ted, who viewers never saw but could tell it was Saget by his trademark voice.
