After releasing the uber successful Tina Fey, Robert Carlock-led Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – starring the one and only Ellie Kemper – word has it that the streaming service has hired Unviersal's VP of Comedy Andrew Weil to oversee their comedy just under Jane Wiseman. Deadline is reporting on the new Netflix hire, stating that Weil was a mere 27-years-old when he was brought aboard Uni TV. Last night’s episode of CONAN was undoubtedly hilarious, but perhaps the funniest segment came during host Conan O’Brien’s “Coffee Table Books That Didn’t Sell” segment. If you haven’t seen the bit, it’s pretty self-explanatory –– O’Brien sits next to sidekick Andy Richter and the two go through some coffee table books that were rejected upon publication. And while last night’s segment held a number of funny pieces – including Stoned Horses – the best of all was the book Careful of the Coz!, which, naturally, had something to do with comedian Bill Cosby and those rape allegations being flung around from all different angles … too many actually. It looks like Amy Poehler and Tina Fey had such a great time hosting last year’s Golden Globe awards, they had to do it again. Or, they had a contract with NBC and were pretty much required to.
