Nintendo this week announced that its North American and European Nintendo Direct event will take place this week, Wednesday Jan. 14, 2015, at 6AM PST. This news came from a Twitter post on Nintendo of America's official account, but it has since been deleted. Luckily for us, plenty of gaming websites learned of the announcement and spread the word. Starting this fall, the University of Pikeville in Kentucky will offer 20 students scholarships playing the video game League of Legends, which now only two colleges in the America recognize as a varsity sport - or eSport.
