Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight just made their first appearance since being rescued from a decade of captivity in the Cleveland home of Ariel Castro. On top of being kidnapped, the three young women were reportedly beaten, held and raped by Castro over the time of their imprisonment. Castro is now in custody and facing charges of aggravated murder for a forced termination of one of the women's unborn child. Further charges will be brought down upon Castro as well. Each victim speaks separately in this video, which was released at midnight by the PR firm hired by their families, but they do not talk about their life after being rescued. Today, TMZ reported that R&B singer Lauryn Hill has checked in to a "minimum security type" federal corrections facility in Danbury, Connecticut. This is the first day of her 3-month sentence for tax evasion of around $1.8 million in earnings, which she initially said she did not pay due to situations involving danger to her family. Hill also singed a recording contract with Sony earlier this year to ease her financial troubles, but she has still been sent to jail. She will not be in isolation for the 3 months of her sentence but will be among the general population. Read More »

Iconic rock n' roll group, Pearl Jam, has just announced a Fall of 2013 North American tour. This two-leg, twenty-four date venture kicks-off in Pittsburgh on October 11 and wraps in New Orleans with the band's previously announced headlining performance at Voodoo Music as well as Arts Experience during the weekend of November 1. The second leg of this recently announced North American tour will start in Dallas on November 15 and will end in Pearl Jam's hometown of Seattle on December 6. This weekend 32-year-old Canadian actress, Elisha Cuthbert, married her longtime love, 28-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf. The two, who were engaged in September of 2012, held their traditional wedding on Prince William Island at the St. James Catholic Church in Summerfield. 20-year-old up-and-coming Brazilian funk singer Daniel Pellegrine was shot to death while performing at one of his concerts over the weekend in Brazil. His fans knew him by his moniker MC Daleste. He sustained a single gun shot wound to the chest and was rushed to the hospital from the venue. Over the weekend, we found out that John Hurt's character in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, who had previously been a mystery, will serve as a "missing link" Doctor in the series' universe. Costume designer Howard Burden explained, "There was a gap between Paul McGann playing the Doctor and Christopher Eccleston, when we didn't see a regeneration, and John Hurt will fit into that gap.
