The 50th anniversary of BBC's hit television experience Doctor Who is more than just a special television event. Though fans are waiting patiently for the November 23, 2013, special to air with the return of David Tennant and Billie Piper as well as the second to last episode featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor, there are still plenty of anniversary related events going on this year. One event is the celebration around the special and Matt Smith will be attending. Pop sensation Britney Spears has been off the map for quite some time but recently released a new song that will be featured on the upcoming Smurfs 2 movie soundtrack, "Ooh La La." The song has been called "vintage Britney" by critics, meaning it is more kids friendly like her first hits. Her sons, Sean and Preston, are set to appear in the music video for this new song, too. A day before her Fourth of July performance for Macy's Fireworks Special, singer Taylor Swift released her latest music video for the title track off of her hit 2012 album Red. In the "Red" music video, we get to see footage of Taylor performing during her recent "Red" Tour as well as a few awards show performances. Ever since the announcement of Star Wars: Episode VII and followed by the hiring of J.J. Abrams to direct this film due out in 2015, casting rumors have been coming in left and right. What's crazy about these rumors is that the actors themselves have started most of them! The original trilogy's stars - Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher - have all but been confirmed for the new film, but they are the ones updating us on this news. Even Samuel L. Jackson wants a part in the new movie, despite his character (Mace Windu) seemingly dying off in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The actual due date of the Royal baby have yet to be officially announced, but the days of mid-July are when the public will be expecting to hear about the future heir to the throne of Britain. Basically, July 11 - July 17 is the time span of when the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth to her first child with Prince William, which of course means that we are in the final few weeks of admiring Kate's pregnancy. There are definitely rumors about a possible early delivery, but at this point in the game it would not be that drastic. But, once the baby is born at least one bodyguard is worried about the Prince or Princess' (yeah, we still have no idea about the gender or name of the child) safety in this tumultuous political climate. Earlier today, 25-year-old singer Jessie J posted to her Twitter account, announcing her departure from BBC's singing competition show 'The Voice U.K." Amidst back-and-forth rumors of staying or leaving as well as a drop in ratings from the first season of the show, Jessie's announcement comes at a convenient time for the BBC to build up more hype for the competition-based show's third season. Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim hits theaters next week (July 12) and today we were treated to the final trailer for the gigantic sci-fi movie. In a world taken over by giant monsters, humans have built giant dual-piloted robots to combat the terrifying threats. This film follows the story of two pilots coming together to hopefully mount a perfect bond to pilot a robot in order to take out these creatures. The film stars Idris Elba, Charlie Day, and Ron Perlman, with Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Hunnam as the main duo of the movie. Read More »
On Monday night, singer Ashlee Simpson was spotted out in Hollywood, California, with Evan Ross, the son of Motown legend Diana Ross. The two were hand in hand as they spent the night hanging out at different clubs and were even spotted holding hands together. One Direction's Harry Styles has been linked to yet another young lady, this time it is aspiring model Kara Rose Marshall. The two were spotted over the weekend during Styles' break from his "Take Me Home" tour with One Direction mates Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. Marshall and Styles were seen shopping together on the streets of New York City, with Harry covered head to toe in black despite the heat (including a hat) and Kara sporting some denim overall cut-offs and a grey t-shirt.
