Although supermodel Elle Macpherson and Miami-based hotel billionaire Jeffrey Soffer split last May, it looks like they have reconciled and are planning to walk down the aisle. The 49-year-old Macpherson and 43-year-old Soffer parted ways due to issues with distance and schedules. After Soffer survived a deadly helicopter crash in November, Elle came to his side for support. Jeffrey had to undergo surgery for a fractured vertebra. It looks like the relationship bloomed once more for the two since rumors are spreading about the engagement. DeAndre Jordan redefined the alley-oop dunk last night as he demolished Brandon Knight with one during last night's LA Clippers and Detroit Pistons game. Thanks to a well-timed lob pass from Chris Paul into the hands of Jordan, Knight has now been made the victim of an NBA highlight poster and the Internet in general. Plus when Knight decided to jump at the same time as Jordan, he ended up fouling him, which resulted in a free-throw shot. Michael Cera, Sarah Silverman, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of "Tim and Eric, and experimental comedian/musician Reggie Watts have teamed up with YouTube to put together a video website devoted to comedy called JASH. "Jash" is apparently a play on the term "to josh" as in "joshing around," meaning "joking around." You got it? Good, because this new video channel, announced at SXSW, is all about jokes and laughter and getting it all to fans of comedy. Read More »
One Direction member, Harry Styles, recently got a huge tattoo of a butterfly on his chest unbeknownst to his fans, but now a photo of the new ink has gone viral and we can all wonder why Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend got the large insect tat. Harry’s favorite London-based tattoo artist, Liam Sparkes, posted a picture of his latest addition to the One Direction singer’s body art on his Flickr account in January. The photo has since been taken down, but it has already been circulated around the Internet for your viewing pleasure. There is some debate on whether or not the torso in the picture is actually Styles or not, but after a One Direction representative’s confirmation, it looks like it is Harry. Read More »
Justin Bieber has officially cancelled his concert set for March 12 in Portugal. The now-cancelled appearance would have been his second show in Lisbon, but he is still set to perform tonight. This has clearly been a rough week for the “Baby” singer. The last we had heard from him, he had been cursing and attempting to attack paparazzi, reportedly complaining of breathlessness and then receiving oxygen, and also showing up late for a concert at the O2 Arena in London. Reasons for his cancelling tomorrow night’s show have yet to be reported, but the “Everything is New” website (promoter of the Bieber concerts) has made an official announcement. Read More »
Justin Timberlake came back to Saturday Night Live for his fifth time hosting this week. He even treated us to two amazing musical performances. This week’s episode also featured a whole lot of special guests including: Paul Simon, Alec Baldwin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Candice Bergen, and Andy Samberg. Maybe one of the best cameo appearances was when Jay-Z strolled onto the stage during Justin’s performance of his hit song, “Suit & Tie.” This week’s audience had to have been one of the luckiest crowds in the history of Saturday Night Live. Sure there were a few moments that weren’t the best, but all in all this was maybe the best episode of the year because of just how special it was to involve so many people. Tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live will be Justin Timberlake's fifth time hosting the show, making him the newest member the unofficial 5-timers club. The other members, including Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Paul Simon, were just featured in a Martin pictweet with SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels. Now rumors are spreading suggesting that this photo is actually showing tonight's guests stars that will surely be some sort of initiation for the "Suit & Tie" singer. Lisa Ling and husband, Dr. Paul Song, have welcomed their daughter, Jett Ling Song, to their family this Friday. Jett is the couple's first child and was born in Santa Monica, California, at 1:24 p.m. weighing in at 6 pounds and 6 ounces. Ling is the host of "Our America" on OWN and the network released the following announcement: "Lisa and Jett are resting comfortably. The proud parents are enjoying the first day of parenthood and are looking forward to bringing their daughter home." Read More »
36 Chihuahuas were seized this week from two homes in Watsonville, California. Some of the dogs were 2-week-old puppies and they are all headed to foster care before they can be adopted. According to Todd Stosuy, the field manager of the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, officials were executing two search warrants on the residences when they rescued the 3-dozen animals. The first was an apartment search on Monday; ending with the collection of 11 dogs. Then the second search was of a relative's house; ending in the collection of 25 dogs. Read More »
Danica Patrick get hit in the head last night with a flying rock while exiting the dirt track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, resulting in a sore neck. The 30-year-old NASCAR driver joked earlier today saying that she thought she had a concussion from the stray rock that knocked her to the ground. This was her way of poking fun at herself after, just a few days ago; the racing queen crashed her car at the Sprint Cup in Phoenix, Arizona resulting in a sore neck and possible concussion. Medical staff cleared her for racing, though, saying that she did not have a concussion. Read More »
