Jason Molina passed away this weekend from organ failure after years of alcoholism. He left behind his music: the songs of his acts Songs: Ohio and Magnolia Electric Co. Countless musicians and fans have expressed their sadness of Molina's death and have been able to share on a message board set up on the Electrical Audio website. One of the people to express his pain in the loss was legendary music producer Steve Albini who worked with Jason on many of his albums. It seems like Taylor Swift has been hearing everyone talk about her amazing BRIT Awards performance, and how we all thought it was a message to her ex-boyfriend, One Direction member Harry Styles. Fans have been saying that her single, "I Knew You Were Trouble" is in fact about Styles, but it has never been confirmed by the 23-year-old songstress. The largest crowd in St. Peter's Square since the funeral of Pope John Paull II in 2005 attended the official inauguration Mass of Pope Francis I today. The crowd included many notable dignitaries such as United States Vice President Joe Biden as well as faithful citizens of the city. Christian Church delegations, Jewish delegations, Muslim, Buddhists and Sikhs were a part of the mass as well. 49-year-old actress Lisa Rinna was sitting in for Kathie Lee Gifford on Monday's episode of "Today" when co-host Hoda Kotb decided to ask her about a subject Rinna is always asked to talk about: her lips. Rinna is currently on "Celebrity Apprentice" and has had a long career in soap operas and television movies. She is a self-described lip injection "pioneer," so when Hoda asked, "Wait, can I ask about your lips?" Rinna obliged, and summarized the whole story. Read More »
Lindsay Lohan accepted a plea deal in her trial yesterday, which allows her to go into rehab instead of going to jail. Los Angeles Superior Judge James Dabney handled her case and sentenced her to jail but decided to allow her to serve the sentence in a "lock in" rehab instead. This sentencing extends her probation to 2 years and requires her to undergo 18 months of psychotherapy. The 26-year-old actress and singer was charged with reckless driving and lying to a police officer about a car crash in June 2012 in Santa Monica, California. Her arrest violated her probabtion. Selena Gomez is currently making her rounds to promote her latest film Spring Breakers, and tonight she stopped by "The Late Show with David Letterman." It turns out that the young actress and the late night television host have something in common AND it involves Selena's ex-boyfriend, the "Baby" singer Justin Bieber. Bill O'Reilly and Maureen McPhilmy have been separated since 2010 and only recently has their divorce finalization been made public. McPhilmy reportedly had an affair with Nassau County police detective. Apparently O'Reilly attempted to ruin the career of this detective, which resulted in an investigation into the officer's life in order to end the relationship. That did not go over too well, but now McPhilmy is married to her former lover and custody was split between her and O'Reilly. Well, until he tried to get her excommunicated from the Catholic Church. Also he hired a member of his household staff to be the couple's therapist, therefore having McPhilmy confide in a woman (Lynn Kulakowski) who was being paid by her husband. Nearly a month ago, the first trailer for the third season of HBO's Game of Thrones was resealed and fans erupted in anticipation. Season three starts on March 31st, but that leaves plenty of time for the hype to grow with trailers and preview clips. Always full of action, sex, and drama, this new trailer definitely does not disappoint in any of those subjects. We see the aftermath of the end of the second season culminating in these short clips. Tensions mount, armies are built, and the dragons are growing. We see Daenerys becoming more powerful and we even get a glimpse at the new character, the mercenary Daario Naharis (played by Ed Skrein). It looks like we are all in for a great ride this season. 20-year-old AFK Athens midfielder, Giorgos Katidis, celebrated a game-winning goal this Saturday against Veria in a Super League match by stripping his shirt off and performing a stiff-armed Nazi salute towards the crowd. The young star has since apologized for the action, saying that he did not know what the gesture meant in any way. His coach, Ewald Lienen, says that Katidis he “most likely saw such a salute on the Internet or somewhere else,” and that he has have “any political ideas.” Katidis understands that his career is in jeopardy considering he has been “banned for life” from the Greek national team. After skipping her Saturday night flight from New York City to Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan walked off of her Sunday flight back due to "plain troubles" and was eventually flown in this morning but ended up being almost 50 minutes late to her scheduled court appearance. The 26-year-old actress is on trial for lying to police after she was involved in a Malibu car crash last summer. Lohan is also undecided on a lawyer, which does not put her in a good state considering her trial has started. Plus, while she was walking into the courtroom late this morning, Lindsay was treated to a handful of gold glitter thrown by a crowd member. She was apparently not hit with the shiny substance. Vanessa Marcil and Carmine Giovinazzo were married in 2010, filed for divorce last summer citing "irreconcilable differences," and have now just finalized the official separation and end of their marriage. This comes just two months after Giovinazzo was arrested for a DUI back in January. The couple shared a infant clothing company called "Baby Gagoo," of which Marcil is now the soul owner. They have no children together. Marcil did have a previous relationship with Brian Austin Green (also from "90210"), which produced their son Kassius.
