Justin Bieber's Comedy Central roast is coming up tomorrow, March 30. And while we're all uber excited, we can't help but wonder what the comedian's have in store for the singer-turned-"bad boy." Sure, we've read a couple of things online but we can only hope that there's more fire where that all came from. But where to turn for the good material? Looks like Seth MacFarlane is getting ready to try his hand at another television show. And believe it or not, this one is not animated. Created by Bored to Death creator Jonathan Ames and executive produced by MacFarlane himself, the mind behind Family Guy is introducing Blunt Talk starring the one and only Patrick Stewart. The series will air on Starz and lead Stewart as a drunken talk show host who gives advice on how Americans should live their lives. Read More »
Jason Alexander's George Costanza character on Seinfeld might have been a small representation of the iconic series' creator Larry David, but now the famed actor is actually being LD. It's being reported that Alexander will replace David in his Broadway play Fish in the Dark, stepping into the role of Norman Drexel this coming June 9. The New York Times is reporting that David is leaving in the beginning of June following "tepid reviews" from a number of outlets. It's being reported that Empire's very own Taraji P. Henson – who plays Cookie Lyon on the famed Terrence Howard-led FOX series – will host Saturday Night Live in April. Before her debut performance, however, Birdman star Michael Keaton will step to the iconic NBC stage for the third time on April 4. The announcements come after Empire rounded out its very first season, which needless to say was an absolute hit, and after Birdman received numerous Academy Awards, including the win for Best Picture. After comedian John Mulaney’s FOX series Mulaney was canceled, the world of comedy was left with a heavy void needing to be filled. Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David's 90s baby Seinfeld had a brilliant way of stepping around controversial topics and tackling them straight on in a SFW sort of way that no other sitcom could do. The perfect example would be "The Contest"––the masturbation episode in which Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer enter a contest to see who can be "master of their domain." And while it seemed nothing could top that, apparently the heads over at NBC gave the axe to a couple of episodes they deemed too controversial for the airwaves. While David, Seinfeld, executive producer Larry Charles, and a number of other writers wrote the two scripts, the network decided it best to cancel them and not even film due to them being politically incorrect. No, probably not, but it’s being reported that the star of the famed AMC series has finished out his term in rehab for alcohol addiction – or at least struggles with alcohol. It happened, folks – the second trailer for HBO’s Entourage movie was dropped last night via the show’s creator (and the film’s writer-director) Doug Ellin. And as fans of the boys from Queens Boulevard could imagine, it did not disappoint. Coming in around 2:30, the new trailer features all the heavy-hitters from the famed show: Ari, Vince, E, Turtle and Drama, and even some more fan favorites such as Sloan (E’s wife), Tom Brady, Ronda Rousey, Billy Bob Thorton, Lloyd, Calvin Harris, Emily Ratajkowski, and more. Yesterday, March 23, was National Puppy Day, which means that Twitter was blowing up with photographs of cute and cuddly dogs every minute. Whether the pictures were of the little pups on their own, with a celebrity or with ... well, anyone ... it seems none of us could withhold our excitement. If you’re a coffee-drinker then you undoubtedly heard about Starbucks’ #RaceTogether campaign. As a way to bring up the subject of race with their customers, the baristas at Starbucks were told to write “Race Together” on the side of every cup they serve. The hope was the act would serve as a conversation starter. Unfortunately, all it seemed to do was create criticism and backlash. Which is exactly why the famed coffee company canceled the idea after one week in practice.
